About

Wild Farm is a blog that imitates those that use ever-gorgeous $500-worth dolls, photographed, and given captions to tell a story. Concrete examples of such blogs: Fully Articulated, No Gentlemen, and Super Pigfiles. But the inspiration lies in a certain school-paper club back when the author was in her junior year of high school, when instead of writing articles for the next issue, its members were frolicking in the nearest field and filming the first adventures of a yellow teddy bear stuffed toy, following closely as it swung from tree to tree and battled enemy after enemy. This was, apparently, a result of listening and watching the said yellow teddy bear sing and dance provocative songs.

Nicholas, the author, being the poor individual that she is, had to resort exploiting her cheaper dolls - a tiger and sheep as the protagonists of the endeavor - in order to produce a series of “stories” or captioned strips. The result is this - a humble space in the web with inanimate characters as its inhabitants. None of the characters are based on any offline or online persons and individuals. If, by any chance, they mirror personalities of anyone, it is by pure coincidence only.

Miscellaneous Facts

  • Owen was a gift from Azure. Zebra was gift-wrapped but was given without a label that at present, it makes Nicholas guilty of having forgotten who gave her the toy.
  • Zebra was named after a snake (a class pet of Nicholas’ section when she was in senior high school) who suffered the same psychological crisis. It was alive for only a semester and the class never got a new pet ever since.

    The original 'Zebra'.

  • Owen means “lamb”.
